A SCHOOL used a crowdfunding-type scheme to bag a donation of books for its library.
Perry Wood Primary and Nursery school were given 25 free books for its library by children's book publisher, Hachette UK.
The company uses Ralloo, a micro-sponsorship platform, where instead of asking supporters for money, Ralloo allows people to support a fundraising project with online engagement.
A spokesman said: "As a school, we are always looking for innovative ways to raise funds and access new resources, particularly given the current pressure on school budgets."
