STOURBRIDGE thespians will be bringing to life a classic Agatha Christie whodunit next month.

Enville Street Dramatic Society is staging A Murder is Announced at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Vicarage Road, Amblecote, from Wednesday November 7 to Saturday November 10.

The Miss Marple mystery kicks off with an announcement in the local paper that a murder is to take place at Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house.

What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined inspector grimly following the twists and turns and Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself in a dramatic confrontation just before the final curtain.

Society regulars Carey Esthop, Lee Morgan-Salcombe, Gaynor Wiltshire, David Lavender and Vicki Pritchard respectively play Miss Blacklock, Inspector Craddock, Miss Marple, Patrick and Miss Bunner with Karl Byrne in support as Mellors and Rudi Scherz.

Tickets are available from Carey Esthop on 01384 356600 or Sue Matthews on 07941 906069 or can be booked online at www.envillestreetdramatic.org.uk.
