DWINDLING Friends of Homer Hill Park are in desperate need of new members to help make better use of their facilities.

The Friends group is urging Cradley folk who care about the park to turn up at their next meeting which is taking place in the park's brand new changing room complex.

Local councillor Richard Body, who is a member of the group said: "There are far too few of us at the moment to actively use what we have."

Currently the changing rooms are leased out to a local football club. But the only time the changing rooms are in use is when football is taking place.

Cllr Body added: "Not only are there changing rooms and toilets, but an excellent kitchenette as well, which could be available to people providing there are enough volunteers to run it.

"We don't have enough people on board to help at the moment, that's why we are in need of some new blood to get involved".

The meeting will take place on Tuesday November 13 at 7.30pm when people can inspect the facilities for themselves.

If anyone is interested in helping, but cannot attend the meeting, they can contact Cllr Body on 07951 482123.
