TENBURY is set to turn on its Christmas lights to mark the start of the most important period of the year for shops in the town.
Excitement is growing ahead of the big switch-on that will take place on Saturday as nightfall descends on the town.
Tenbury prides itself on being one of the first towns in the country to turn on the festive lights.
Throughout the year the Tenbury Chamber of Trade holds regular events so that there is a continual year on year improvement to the lights that enable the town to punch above its weight.
An early switch-on give the town a head start, with what it is hoped will be a festive spending spree.
It marks the start of a busy few weeks that include the Mistletoe Festival and Sales that begin at the end of November.
Tenbury youngsters are also looking forward to the annual Santa Parade.
