PREPARATORY works are commencing soon for a much-needed, new high-quality care home to be built in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Situated on a 1.4 acre vacant site just off the Fosse Way in Moreton in Marsh adjacent to the North Cotswold Community Hospital and Four Shires Medical Centre, the development is set over two floors offering 60 bedrooms all en-suite.
Facilities also open welcoming foyer with café, cinema room, hairdressing, family playroom, four dining areas, four lounge areas and extensive external landscaping with 18 car parking spaces.
The sensitive, modern design by architects The Harris Partnership who are also acting as lead consultant on the scheme, uses locally soured stone and render, with large expanses of glazing with open views across the Cotswold area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
A joint planning application with operator, the Taylor & Taylor Group who will be building out the home next year, was granted in August on behalf of developer-client, The Mercian Group.
The home will be managed by family-run care provider Taylor & Taylor whose services include intermediate care for those leaving hospital, dementia care; 24-hour nursing care and palliative end of life care.
