A POPULAR Kidderminster summer event is set to return and its organiser is appealing for sponsors to make this bash the best yet.

The fourth annual Brinton’s Bash, which raises money for charities and groups, will be held on Saturday June 1 at Brinton’s Park and will feature live music, fun attractions for children, and a range of stalls.

Brinton’s Bash was established by Quads and Castles owner Dave Griffin to replace the now defunct Kidderminster Carnival and parade.

Mr Griffin wants to encourage more local businesses to become involved in the event, expanding on the annual summer extravaganza.

Residents and visitors have flocked to the previous events in their thousands while much-needed funds have been raised for good causes in the town.

This year, profits will be distributed between Wyre Forest groups H.E.L.P, Kidderminster District Youth Trust, and the Pickup Artists.

The event will feature a host of bands, including returning group the Murmur, Just Charlotte, and Superfuzz - with other spaces available for interested groups.

Organiser Dave Griffin said: "I want the whole community to come together and get involved.

"I am trying to get more businesses on board to put more fun things on for the children to do.

"This will be the Brinton's Bash's fourth year and I have put the event on myself over the years to raise money for local charities.

"I really get a buzz from it - to see people all in one place enjoying the summer sunshine."
