TODAY's picture from the archive of the Worcester News dates dates back to April 1990, when another quarter-mile stretch of the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal had been restored, reaching Middle Court Bridge at Monkhide. To mark the occasion, a plaque was unveiled on the bridge by Bob Aspey, the chairman of Yarkhill Parish Council, in the presence of members of the canal society.
