OVER 200 anti-Brexit campaigners will be travelling from the Malvern area to London next weekend for a march

Members of the Malvern for Europe group have been campaigning in the town centre over recent weekends,

More than 120 campaigners from Malvern, 60 from Ledbury and 50 from Colwall are joining the Put It To The People march on Saturday, March 23, in London.

The march will be calling for a "People's Vote" on the question of whether the UK should leave the EU.

Group member Adrian Mealing said: “The word on the doorstep, the recurring question from many constituents, is about the kind of future we leave to our grandkids and their kids.

"That’s a marked shift, a genuine change in the conversation, something that simply wasn’t being said out loud three months ago.”

Another member, Paul Hawes, said: “Anyone who cares about the future, anyone who feels betrayed by broken promises in the last referendum, anyone who wants to prevent years more of this madness is welcome to join us to make their voice heard. It’s now or never.”

The group says it now has some 400 members, and its latest leaflet has gone to 15,000 addresses around the Malvern Hills area, inviting recipients to send their views to MPs Harriett Baldwin or Bill Wiggin.
