POLICE have said that the two teenagers arrested on suspicion of arson following a huge fire at the former Greyhound pub have now been released from police custody.

A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, both from Bromsgrove, were arrested but have been released under investigation.

More than 30 firefighters from three stations battled the blaze at the derelict pub on Fox Lane which started at around 7pm on Monday, March 11.

While crews tackled the fire from above, other firefighters wore breathing apparatus to enter the building at ground level.

Police also attended and motorists were warned to avoid the area as Fox Lane and Rock Hill were closed.

Meanwhile, the developers have said they will work to make the area safe for those living nearby.
