A PROLIFIC bicycle thief is still on the run from police.
Ashley Jordan, 18, was due to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 1 to face a total of 15 charges, but failed to attend and so a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Jordan, of Dent Close in Worcester, was found guilty in his absence of 14 of the charges. He had previously admitted one of the offences – possessing cannabis.
Five of the charges were for stealing bikes in Worcester and Droitwich, one was for having bolt cutters used for theft, and another five offences were of damaging bicycles in Droitwich.
Jordan was also convicted of two charges of failing to surrender to custody at the city magistrates court, and one offence of trespassing on railway property in Droitwich.
Today, a police spokesman said officers were still hunting the teenager.
