THE clean up of South Parade, at South Quay, after days of flooding is underway.
High river levels over recent days have led to the River Severn breaching its banks in places.
As the water has receded, the riverside, including the popular fountains, had been left covered in mud.
A spokesman from Worcester City Council said: “The riverside park area is one of the jewels in Worcester’s crown and the city council is dedicated to keeping it clean, colourful and safe.
"When the paths flood we go into action to clean them as soon as the water level falls.
"We have a team of 15 people working on the riverside paths, scraping off the mud and washing them down with water so that pedestrians and cyclists can start enjoying them again.”
