A SOCIAL club for people with learning disabilities is moving to a new venue this month.

The Monday Night Club announced on Wednesday that they will be moving to Worcester Arts Workshop from March 25.

The opening night party will include a disco, a performance by Merlo the Magician and other surprises.

The Club will continue to meet there every Monday night for music, dancing, socialising, fun and friendship.

Monday Night Club founder Laura Gill said: "We are delighted to make Worcester Arts Workshop our new home.

"It will open up many new opportunities for our members and provide wonderful spaces for what we love to do most: dancing, singing and performing."

The Monday Night Club provides social opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism and was founded by Laura Gill, a young woman with a learning disability and autism, 8 years ago.

Club organiser Helen Gill said: "It is the perfect venue to provide a safe and friendly place for people with learning disabilities, autism and others in our community who may feel vulnerable."

"We will have the space to welcome new members and new volunteers, and we be able to expand and vary our activities there."

Hannah Phillips, who is leading the Worcester Arts Workshop's transform project, said: "I am thrilled that The Monday Night Club will be coming to Worcester Arts Workshop.

"Hosting this amazing group is another step forward in establishing Worcester Arts Workshop as a centre for creative learning in the heart of Worcester that everyone can engage with and enjoy."
