Dancing on the waterfront all weekend: massed Morris dancing and a midday procession, it can only be The Upton Folk Festival.
The event this year comes to the Severn-side town from May 3 and May 6, and other attractions will include ceilidhs, workshops, folk clubs sessions, late nights, song and instrumental sessions; even poetry.
There will also be musical river trips, and who this year will lift the John Birmingham Cup for Songwriting?
And who would miss out on the Demon Barber clog dancing competition, not to mention the Upton in Bloom Duck Race?
Festival artists will include the Melrose Quartet, Alice Jones, Cosmotheka and the Trio Trelfall.
And that’s not to mention The Pigeon Swing, Token Women, John Kirkpatrick and Geoff Lakeman.
Such a large festival will inevitably cause some traffic disruption, due to road closures at times. But there is police link that should show when and where:
