A TRIBUTE act to Led Zeppelin won't be going down like a lead balloon, because fans insist they are "Europe's most exciting and authentic tribute" to the classic rock band.

And the good news is, CODA are heading to The Iron Road in Pershore this month, "featuring incredible replica costumes and instruments, as well as a fantastic show covering all the classics, live rarities, acoustic numbers and much more".

The band will be supported by Jessica Lee Morgan, who will also be singing the part of Sandy Denny in the band's performance of the Battle of Evermore.

A spokesman said: "Jessica has an incredible, authentic folk rock voice and is the daughter of singer Mary Hopkin and David Bowie producer Tony Visconti.

"CODA recently performed three very special concerts celebrating 50 years of Led Zeppelin to great critical acclaim, including one at the very first venue Led Zeppelin ever played, exactly 50 years to the day!

"CODA were incredibly privileged and honoured to be able to perform at Gladsaxe School, Copenhagen, to a packed hall of Led Zeppelin fans at the site of Led Zeppelin's worldwide debut show in September 2018, exactly 50 years to the day when Led Zeppelin first exploded onto the music scene!"

As one critic and fan put it: "Not really a cover band, more a reincarnation. I was utterly dumbstruck when I saw them. If I hadn't already got tickets I'd get them just to see this band again.

"Incredible band, they really have to be seen to be believed."

CODA will be playing at the Iron Road in Pershore on Saturday May 25.

Tickets are available from www.wegottickets.com and are priced at £11 plus booking fee in advance.

Doors open 8pm.
