HAVE you ever wondered what Elgar’s piano sounds like?
If so, you’re in for a treat, thanks to the Elgar Festival.
Visitors to the Henry Sandon Hall in Worcester will be able to tinkle the ivories from Thursday May 30 to June 1, during the festival
A spokesman said: “All skill levels are welcome to have a go, and if you prefer to play some Mozart or a bit of Beatles, we won’t tell.
“This is free and open to the public. No tickets required. Drop in any time!”
Another highlight will be a display of Elgar memorabilia on loan from prestigious international private collections at The Guildhall in Worcester.
A spokesman said: “Pop in to the beautiful and historic Guildhall in central Worcester throughout the 2019 Elgar Festival to sample this fascinating exhibition. Edward Elgar was the first British composer for 200 years to achieve true international greatness.
“ He dined with royalty and his music is played all over the world.”
