SIR – Will the Worcester City FC supporters please stop right now, the bullying tactics of producing flags saying ‘Bring City Home’.

Who, may I ask, is this plea aimed at?

Who, are you asking to bring you home?

If it is the city councillors who represent the St Stephen’s ward, which lies at the centre of their desired home, then they must realise that these councillors answer to the wishes of their electorate, not the supporters of WCFC.

The three key candidates in the recent city elections were the Green, the Conservative and the Labour.

Opponents to the stadium plans thus had a choice of the first two and, FOR the plan, the Labour.

This topic was by far and away the one which was uppermost in the electorate’s minds.

The result was Green 1,067, Conservative 511 and Labour 114.

Opponents thus polled approx 14 times more votes than those ‘for’ the stadium.

Those councillors at the heart of the stadium request are doing the job for which they were elected.

They have heard you, but decided they have other things to do with their time, such as relieving the chaotic congestion problems in the area.

Building a football stadium would absolutely NOT help.
