PERSHORE Town Council has reelected Chris Parsons for a second year as mayor.
He said: "I'm really pleased to have been reelected and it's a great honour to be given this opportunity once again - it's certainly not an appointment to be taken lightly.
"I'm not taking any time off as there are issues I need to deal with such as the community centre that we need to resolve.
"I look forward to working with councillors and it's good that we can respect each other's opinions and work together for the good of the town."
Cllr Parsons was elected Pershore Town Council in 1987 and he is the Council’s longest serving member and he looks forward to supporting the men's charity Prostate Cancer UK.
Deputy mayor Julian Palfrey will serve again as deputy for another year.
Cllr Palfrey has served on the Town Council from 1987 to 1999 and since 2007.
• Meanwhile, Cllr Mark Goodge has also been reelected as mayor of Evesham for a second term at the annual meeting held on Monday.
