A CHARITY fun run in aid of blood cancer research has raised more than a whopping £22,000.
Bloodwise Bromsgrove & District Branch held its annual 5k and 10k fun runs earlier this month.
The course set off from Bromsgrove Rugby Club where participants could enjoy BBQ, shopping stalls and a tombola.
Bloodwise Bromsgrove was launched in 1988 by Nicole Harris, just months before her nine-year-old son Marc died from leukaemia.
The first fun run was held at Barnsley Hall, later moving to Bromsgrove Rugby Club.
All money goes towards helping fund life-saving research into blood cancer.
A spokesman said: "We stop people dying from blood cancer, we make patients’ lives better and we look for ways to stop blood cancer happening in the first place."
