RESIDENTS are being invited to a special exhibition focusing on the Second World War, a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945.

The exhibition, at St Philip’s Church in Webheath, will include models of Royal Navy ships, photos and maps, stories of how the Allies deceived the Germans, and the Redditch connection to the Dam Busters raid, an attack on German dams carried out in May 1943 by Royal Air Force.

The exhibition runs from June 8 to 11.

It is on Saturday, June 8 from 10.30am to 5pm, June 9 12.30pm to 6pm (including a Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight fly past around 2.10pm), June 10 10.30am to 5pm, and June 11 from 10.30am to 5pm.

Admission to the exhibition costs £3 and £1 for children.

For more information, go to stphilipswebheath.org.uk.

Please note the church car park will be closed on Sunday, June 9 to allow spectators to view the fly past (which is subject to weather conditions) from the church yard.
