LUDLOW will go to the dogs on Sunday.

It is the big day with Ludlow Rotary Club holds its annual charity event at Stokesay Court.

The event will include displays, trade stalls, the chance for pets to have ago and much more.

There will also be tours of Stokesay Court and plenty of food and drink.

Last year some 35 trade and charity stalls took pitches at the Ludlow Dog Day selling a wide range of dog related accessories, as well as organisations with common cause with dogs and the countryside. It is calculated that some 3,000 people attended Dog Day although the number of dogs was not counted.

Whilst the dogs will be the stars there will also be plenty for their two-legged friends to enjoy.

There will be a range of hot and cold food and drinks stalls to suit all tastes, as well as the Hobson’s licensed bar, all accompanied to the music of the Ludlow Concert Band.

For afternoon tea lovers there will be the Rotary Tea Tent, a place to rest sore feet and enjoy tea, sandwiches and fresh cakes.

The Flower Garden at Stokesay Court is a flourishing garden business, growing and supplying cut flowers to top London and other florists, as well as providing floristry for small local weddings, all using flowers grown within the high brick walls of the old Victorian kitchen garden. Admission: adults £2, children and dogs free.

This year Ludlow Rotary Club has chosen St Michael’s Hospice, Hope House for Children, Guide Dogs and Ludlow Rotary Cares as the charities to be the beneficiaries of Ludlow Dog Day 2019.
