THE Poppy Appeal are seeking for new volunteers in Kidderminster ahead of 2019 fundraising campaign.

Last year Kidderminster contributed an outstanding £51,000, towards the appeal, the highest figure within Worcestershire and a new record for the town.

This amount of money was raised by generous town residents and also the volunteers that work tirelessly to ensure money is collected.

To enable continued success this ueat, the Poppy Appeal Organiser (PAO) for the town is trawling for volunteers to man collection points at key locations in the area, namely all major superstores, over the 2 week period.

The organisation will provide full support and guidance to all volunteers by the PAO and any commitment will be appreciated and catered for by the team.

This years Poppy Appeal launch will on Saturday, October 26 at the Severn Valley Railway on Station Approach.

Following this there will be a two week period of collecting within the town culminating with a Remembrance Day parade on Sunday, November 10 at St Mary’s Church.
