A NEW bar is set to open up in the centre of Worcester.

The Tripel B Belgian Beer cafe is in the process of being fitted out in the city's Copenhagen Street, off the High Street next to the Guildhall.

The start-up has been founded by Craig Finn, Andy Perks and Ryan Smith.

Mr Finn said: "I've been going to Belgium since the 1980s, and I love the country's culture and I love the beers.

"We hope that the bar will appeal not only to those who already know about Belgian beers, but those who are interested and want to find out more.

"The sheer variety of beers made there is fascinating. There will be something to suit any taste."

He said that the bar plans to have in stock up to 70 different brews at any given time, some on draught, but many more in cans and bottles.

He said: "I set up a Facebook page last Wednesday, and within a couple of days we had 900 likes, so I think the interest is there."

The premises previously housed a Polish restaurant.
