REDDITCH Library has launched a dementia-friendly cafe, aptly named 'Old Redditch Reminiscers'.
The second event took place at Redditch Library last month, giving Redditch locals the opportunity to browse fascinating library archives (including Redditch Newspapers dating back to the early 1800s), and reminisce about what Redditch used to be like.
Zoe Mucklow, library volunteer, said: “Events like these are so important, not only does it bring our local community together and gets people talking, but it also increases dementia awareness.”
'Old Redditch Reminiscers' runs from 10am to noon on the first Friday of every month at Redditch library.
The next meeting, open to all, is at 10am on Friday, September 6.
