TERRIFIED shop workers were locked in a cupboard by masked men during a horrific daylight robbery in Redditch.
Two men came in to the Allday Stores, in Evesham Road, wearing masks and carrying a hammer and a knife.
They demanded money from the staff, some of whom were shut in a cupboard.
Nothing was stolen during the attempted robbery and the thieves fled empty handed.
It's believed they ran towards Kenilworth Close, towards the recreation ground and the Pleck - the field behind Kenilworth Close.
Officers made an immediate search of the area in attempt to locate the men.
Two men were in the area of the shop at the time the robbery occurred, and police would like to speak to them as potential witnesses.
People who think they know the men are being urged to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 514s of 24 August 2019.

The incident happened around 4.30pm on August 24.
