ANIMAL protection campaigners have thanked Malvern shoppers for their generosity, after they raised £134.64 for The Lord Dowding Fund for Humane Research at a collection in the town centre.
Collection organiser Pauline Burgess said: "I would like to thank everyone who donated to the fund, which awards grants to scientists for advanced medical and scientific research that does not use animals.
"These projects include various types of cancer, kidney research, microsurgery, Parkinson’s, and schizophrenia.
"Anyone wishing to learn more about the fund can go to ldf.org.uk, where they can also make a donation."
