A POPULAR antiques and collector fair takes place at Himley Hall this weekend, following a successful return this summer.

The fair, which runs from 9am to 4pm on Sunday September 15, follows the success of a summer fair in July, which marked a return of the event to historic house after a hiatus of nearly three decades.

Paul Rowson, of Antiques at Events, said: "We have received a wonderful response from the public and traders have again booked with a wide variety of items for sale.

"Himley Hall is a great historic setting for these events and we have booked fairs in around the third Sunday of every other month until the end of 2020. I am sure the offer will remain popular."

The fair will once again offer people the opportunity to view and purchase antiques and collectables from over 50 stallholders.

Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member responsible for halls, said: "The summer antiques fair was a huge success and we are expecting a big turnout once again later this month.

"People visiting will also be welcome to take a look at the park grounds and enjoy refreshments at our popular coffee lounge."

There is an entrance fee of £2 for adults and under 16s go in for free.
