Nights are drawing in and autumnal gloom is gathering, but fans of top musicals have a double reason to sing with joy this season.

In fact, they are getting ready to sing at Vue Worcester as the legendary Miss Saigon arrives for a very special screening on September 30.

A spokesman said: "For one night only, fans of the classic musical get to enjoy a spectacular, sell-out 25th Anniversary Gala Performance, praised by the media.

"The global sensation will feature appearances from the original cast including Jonathan Pryce and Lea Salonga."

The love story tells the tragic tale of a doomed romance involving a Vietnamese woman abandoned by her American lover.

But local fans of musicals are in for another treat, with a second one-off screening of different hit show coming to the Vue in Worcester this autumn.

The spokesman added: "If musical enthusiasts want more, they can look forward to November 10 when the tap-dancing, show-stopping extravaganza, 42nd Street comes to Vue Worcester for a very special showing.

"Based on the novel by Bradford Ropes, the show focuses on the efforts of famed dictatorial Great White Way director, Julian Marsh, to mount a successful stage production of a musical extravaganza at the height of the Great Depression.

"Fans of the musical can get ready for the largest ever production of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical theatre spectacular."

Johnny Carr, Event Cinema Manager at Vue UK and Ireland, added: “We’re very excited to be able to offer not one but two huge special musical screenings for theatre fans.

“It’s not often that everyone gets to experience shows close up so it’s great that we can offer these two great musicals on a larger scale with the best picture and sound quality in big screen entertainment.”
