A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a bus in Sedgley.

The collision took place at the junction of High Park Crescent and Wolverhampton Road, this morning (Saturday, September 21).

Police called medics to the scene at 8.20am and the man, aged in his 50s, was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Wolverhampton Road was closed this morning, and was expected to reopen around noon.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police said: "A man has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a bus in Sedgley this morning (Saturday).

"The man, in his 50s, is in a critical condition following the collision at the junction of High Park Crescent and Wolverhampton Road."
