A REDDITCH man has been banned from driving for three years after he admitted driving with more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.

Gordon Griffin, aged 32, of Evesham Road, was also fined £350, ordered to pay £135 costs and a victim surcharge of £35.

He pleaded guilty to driving a BMW with 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Also before Worcestershire magistrates:

Martin Masters, aged 33 was given a community order with a rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay £50 compensation after he admitted damaging a communication device belonging to West Mercia Police.

Masters, who gave an address to the court c/o Fullbrook Close Redditch, also admitted breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order and failing to surrender to custody while on bail.

Simon Jordan, aged 29, of Melen Street, Redditch, was fined £430, ordered to pay £135 costs plus a £43 victim surcharge and banned from driving for a year after he pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Guy Turner, aged 56, from Fordbridge Close, was given a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement, ordered to pay £65 compensation, £135 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Turner admitted a catalogue of offences including two counts of criminal damage, persistently using electronic communications to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety, being drunk and disorderly in a public place, two counts of using insulting words or behaviour and wasting police time.
