RESIDENTS are being urged to see a major exhibit recording the last 75 years of local history before it closes.

Earlier this year Redditch Local History Society asked people to write down one or more memories of Redditch to include in its 2019 exhibition.

The exhibition, at Forge Mill, started earlier this month and ends November 24.

Society chairman and archivist Derek Coombes said: "I would just like to say, on behalf of the Redditch Local History Society, a big thank you to all the people that have helped make our 2019 exhibition at Forge Mill a success. On the days we have been at the exhibition there has been a steady stream of visitors many of whom have spent several hours looking at all the exhibits."

He added: "What is more pleasing is seeing groups of visitors, some strangers, other long-lost school pals, standing around chatting and sharing memories."
