CCTV has captured the dramatic moment a lorry ploughed through the barrier at a level crossing in Hartlebury, causing delays on the trains.
Shocking footage released by Network Rail shows the vehicle taking out the barrier as it closed at the crossing in Station Road this morning (Friday, November 22).
Although no one is believed to have been injured, Network Rail has branded the lorry driver "reckless" for putting many lives at risk.
A spokesman said: "This reckless driver damaged the railway, caused a lot of delays to train passengers and put his/her life in danger, as well as the lives of many other people."
Rail services through Kidderminster and Stourbridge were delayed for several hours afterwards as a result.
Trains are now running as normal through Hartlebury Station and the barrier has been replaced.
A Network Rail spokesman added: "We would encourage every motorist to wait if they see the barrier coming down. It's better to be safe than sorry."
