SIX men appeared in court this afternoon on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to an alleged attack.
The men had all been charged over the alleged knife attack in Wylds Lane, Worcester,that saw a man suffer slash marks to his hands and face between 11pm on Saturday, November 23, and 1pm on Sunday, November 24.
The group gave no pleas when appearing at Kidderminster Magistrates and were all remanded in custody.
They are due at Worcester Crown Court on January 6, 2020.
There has been a heavy police presence outside the magistrates court in Comberton Place throughout the day.
The defendants are Shahenul Alam, aged 30, of Ivor Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham; Luke Bridger, 23, of Carlisle Road, Worcester; Kaasim Multani, 21, of Westminster Road, Worcester; Usman Multani, 25, of Westminster Road, Worcester; Omar Idris, 22, of Carlisle Road, Worcester; and Istehan Ulhaq, 21, of Merton Close, Worcester.
A seventh man, aged 28, was arrested but released with no further action.
Police say the 22-year-old victim sustained potentially life changing injuries and was taken to hospital.
