A SALON in Bewdley has celebrated its 25th anniversary by introducing a range of sustainable hair and beauty products.
Abacus Hair, owned by husband and wife team Nick and Allison Ford, opened in the town in 1994.
The couple has since gone on to employ 13 people and win multiple industry awards, with the salon moving to its current high street location in 2004.
In a milestone move to mark the anniversary, the Fords have announced a partnership with Italian sustainable hair product supplier Davines.
Allison said: "It’s a really special moment for us to reach 25 years in business.
“Everyone knows how difficult it is to run your own business and it takes a huge amount of commitment and personal sacrifice.
"However, in the past 25 years we have grown, moved and upgraded the salon, employed some amazing people, and hopefully contributed to Bewdley by attracting more people to the town.
“It makes Nick and I really proud when we see how our team has developed and we still have staff who have been with us from the early days, including our senior stylist Ade Arnold who has been part of the team for over 20 years.
“It’s extra special and the icing on the cake that in our 25th year our daughter Georgia has decided to pursue hairdressing as a career.
"It’s a brilliant milestone for us and great that we can keep the business in the family by looking to the next generation.”
