RAW sewage has been dumped near a Bromsgrove beauty spot.

Pictures appear to show a tanker full of septic waste dumped near Fish House Lane, close to Upton Warren Nature Reserve.

Environment Agency officers are investigating the incident, which happened last week on farmland leading to the River Salwarpe.

Peter Mullard, an environment officer, said: “This is irresponsible behaviour and if we catch the person or persons responsible we will apply full force of the law.

“It looks like a tanker full of septic waste has been released onto the field near the river with no regard to public health or the potential damage to the river or the nearby Upton Warren Nature Reserve.

“We would urge anyone who has information to call our hotline: 0800 80 70 60 or anonymously via Crimestoppers online or on 0800 555111.”
