CARERS brought some festive cheer to their clients in Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley by delivering a mince pie to their door while dressed as elves.

Staff at A&M Bewdley Care Services, based in Kidderminster, took part in National Elf Day on Friday, December 6 to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

Manager Chrissy Smith said: "Since I took the job as manager we've been doing more for charity - we did the Macmillan Coffee Morning earlier this year.

"I saw the Elf Day for Alzheimer's, which asks people to unleash their inner elf, and it really enticed me.

"A lot of our clients go through Alzheimer's and dementia so I put the idea out there and a lot of our staff decided to join in."

Chrissy was among eight members of staff to dress up in full elf gear to deliver a festive treat to clients.

Donations from clients raised £70 for charity.

"The smile on our clients' faces was priceless. They really loved it," said Chrissy. "It was great to spread some festive cheer."
