UNSUNG heroes are once again being sought for the Pride of Malvern Hills Community Awards.

The awards recognise dedicated members of the community that have improved the lives and well-being of residents.

Organisers are now appealing to the public to help make this year’s awards bigger and better by nominating even more people, organisations or projects.

Those chosen to receive an award will be presented with it during a celebration ceremony at the newly renovated HD Anywhere Stadium, the home of Malvern Town FC, on Tuesday, 26 March 2020.

Cllr Tom Wells said: “The Pride of Malvern Hills Community Awards are a chance to celebrate the wonderful achievements of some of the district’s selfless and hard working residents.

“If you know an individual, organisation or project that makes a difference to your community, nominate them now and ensure they get the recognition they deserve.”

There are eight categories people can nominate in – Inspirational Young Person’s Award, Cleaner and Greener Community Award, Improving Lives Award, Community Project Award, Inclusive Award and Business in the Community Award.

This year, there are two new awards which are the Dementia Friendly Award and Local Charity Award.
