A CENTRE created to provide support to small businesses and new start-ups has proved so successful it is expanding with help from Malvern Hills District Council.

BLOOM.SPACE first leased the ground floor of The Grange in Malvern from the council for a two year period back in 2018. The company provides hot desks, fixed desks, meeting rooms and private office space to businesses, along with high speed WiFi, free printing, tea and coffee.

Cllr Beverley Nielsen said: “It’s wonderful to see that BLOOM.SPACE has lived up to its name and is blooming.

"Having a business such as this, especially in a town centre location, is a positive thing and helps deliver on our ambition to support and grow our local economy.”

Jack Wratten, founder and CEO of BLOOM.SPACE, said “We have a great community of co-workers in The Grange, sharing the building and making use of our networks of investors and mentors."

More than 30 businesses currently use the space and the company now intends to transform the first floor to provide additional private office and meeting space, together with the ability to host occasional events, workshops and training courses.

In order to make the investment BLOOM.SPACE needed a longer-term commitment from the council. Councillors responded by approving a ten year lease at a meeting of the Executive Committee on Tuesday, 21 January.
