FOLLOWING the announcement that an all-you-eat Worcester restaurant has closed our readers have had their say.

The signage above Red Leaf World Buffet, in Foregate Street, has been taken down. A sign has been placed in the restaurant window announcing the closure.

It is uncertain if the restaurant will re-open, as the sign reads: “Due to unforeseen circumstances Red Leaf World Buffet is closed until further notice.”

Worcester News readers have suggested a few ideas on what the venue could be next.

Outside-Looking-In said: “It’s currently mostly stripped out inside? It looks like it’s already under conversion to something else. Bound to be another buffet place that no one will use.”

A B said: “Every time there’s a buffet here no one wants it. It’s tainted by a forever poor reputation. You could put the Ritz there and no one would attend. The venue needs to be split into smaller venues (it’s too big to fill) and be sold off. The reality is it’ll re-open as another all you can eat place that no one attends.”

Worcester surf said: “Went there years ago under the previous ownership. The food was OK but oddly there was not much choice. I don’t think generally this type of place offers what most people want when they eat out.”

Jabbadad said: “We used this place and others previously on the site and NEVER had a bad experience. Staff were always polite loads of choice and not expensive as many other places in Town.”
