FEBRUARY half term is here and there are plenty of activities taking place across the borough to keep youngsters entertained.

Dudley Museum

Youngsters can enjoy a knights and princesses themed fun day at Dudley Museum from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Wednesday February 19. Children can make a craft item and join in with games and fun during the session, which is suitable for ages three and over and costs £3.60 per child.

Families can learn about fossils and natural history with two free sessions on Saturday, February 22. Children aged five and over can have a look at fossil ID and learn how to recognise different fossils. The event runs from 10.30am to 12pm, including a talk about unearthing natural history from 2 to 3pm, which is suitable for children aged seven and over.

Red House Glass Cone

Children aged seven and above, can enjoy animal themed fused glass sessions on Tuesday 18 and Thursday 20 February. The sessions runs at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2pm and it costs £6.20 to take part. Children can take away what they have made.

Free swimming for youngsters aged under 16-years-old also returns to Dudley, Crystal and Halesowen leisure centres until Sunday, February 23. To register visit at www.freeswimindudley.co.uk.

Each leisure centre will also be holding classes and activities for kids.

Dudley Leisure Centre

Children can develop their water skills with an intensive swimming course until Friday February 21 for children aged five and over.

It includes five 30-minute lessons and costs £27.50 per child. Sessions start at 9am, 9.30am and 10.30. People are required to book in advance.

Junior active zone sessions for children aged eight to 12 takes place on Tuesday February 18 and Thursday February 20.

Sessions run from 9am to 4pm and include swimming, crafts, multi skills activities and team games including football, rounders, basketball or badminton.

It costs £20 a day and people are advised to book in advance. A consent form must be completed for each child beforehand.

Crystal Leisure Centre

Trampolining for under 5s takes place on Tuesday February 18 from 9am to 10am and for children aged five to 15 from 10am to 11am and 11am to noon. The sessions cost £5.30 for under 5s and £6.40 for older children. Booking is essential.

The Big Bounce Inflatable event returns to the sports hall on Wednesday February 19 for children aged two to 13. The event features an arena filled with inflatable wipe out games, huge slides, assault courses and more.

On Thursday February 20 the centre will host free inclusive activezone sessions, providing fun sports for children with leaning or physical disabilities and their siblings and friends.

Halesowen Leisure Centre

Boombox inflatable aqua run sessions will be held on Tuesday February 18 and Thursday February 20 from 1.30pm to 3pm in the main pool. Children must be at least eight years old and 1.2 metres tall to take part. Children are required to complete a swimming test before participation. The test will take place from 1.15pm to 1.30pm. The sessions cost £4.60 for adults and £3.10 for children and young people aged 8 to 15

Fun float pool sessions will take place on Friday February 21 in the main pool and learner pool and on Tuesday February 18 and Thursday February 20 in the learner pool from 1.30 to 3pm. No age restrictions apply. The sessions cost £4.60 for adults, £3.10 for children and young people aged 5 to 15 and £1.10 for under 5s.
