Mr Huddleston said: “I am absolutely delighted that the Prime Minister has offered me the opportunity... and I look forward to getting down to work.
"This is a department that oversees the sectors I have worked in all my professional life before entering Parliament and that I have focused on since entering Parliament in 2015.
"Moreover it oversees the industries and activities that many of my constituents care passionately about whether it be improving broadband and mobile services to help them run their businesses or contact loved ones, or how they spend their leisure time engaged in sporting activities or travelling.
"I look forward to enhancing and championing these industries and the people who work in them and participate in them not only in my constituency, but right across the country.”
