AN OLDBURY man has been hit with a court bill after admitting assault and making off with alcohol without paying.

Allen Preece, aged 33, of New Birmingham Road, Oldbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting Kerry Cadman and admitted dishonestly making off with alcohol worth £25.67 to avoid payment.

He received a fine, surcharge and costs worth £157.67 at hearing at Dudley Magistrates Court.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates Court last week.

Dhuvinder Badesha, aged 39, of Merlin Close, Walsall, pleaded guilty to stealing mobile phones and a television Pensnett. He received a community order and must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £275.

Ionut Nituca, aged 38, of Selbourne Road, Dudley, admitted driving a Skyliner scooter on Himley Road while over the legal alcohol limit. He was fined £300 and also ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £135 in costs. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 15 months.

Jamie Lewis, aged 33, of Bryce Road, Pensnett, pleaded guilty to drink driving on High Oak and also admitted driving without insurance. He was ordered to pay a fine, surcharge and costs totalling £567 and was also banned from holding a driving licence for 12 months.

Blake Evans, aged 19, of Pedmore Road, Brierley Hill, admitted stealing a chainsaw worth £100 and stealing a bicycle worth £500 after trespassing into a garage on Ibstock Drive. He was ordered to pay £400 in costs and a surcharge and was ordered to carry out 120 of unpaid work over the next 12 months as part of a community order.

Darren Evans, aged 41, of Bull Street, Brierley Hill, also pleaded guilty to stealing a £100 chainsaw and trespassing to steal a £500 bike. He received a community order and must follow a curfew for ten weeks and was also ordered to pay £310 in costs and a £90 surcharge.

Jack Powers, aged 27, of Laurel Lane, Halesowen, admitted failing to attend a drugs assessment when ordered by police. The court ordered him to pay £197 in a fine, surcharge and costs.

Daniel Wall, aged 28, of Kingsmeadow, Stourbridge, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £185 costs.

Sharon Blackstock, aged 48 of Trefoil Gardens, Stourbridge, admitted causing £500 of damage to a car door without lawful excuse. She was ordered to pay £1,257 in a fine, compensation, surcharge and costs.
