BROMSGROVE District Council has taken a number of measures to keep residents and front line staff safe in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The council is urging residents to only visit its public buildings if it is necessary, and to stay away if they display symptoms such as coughing, fever or shortness of breath.
A spokesman said: "People who have booked a home visit from one of the our officers, and are displaying these symptoms, or are self-isolating, are also urged to contact the council to cancel with a view to rebooking unless of an emergency nature.
"All visiting officers are making contact with residents in advance of visits wherever possible to check for health related issues relating to Covid-19.
"The council continues to work with partners and key agencies to stay up to date in receiving top-level guidance, and will be taking appropriate action as required."
Four cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) were confirmed in Worcestershire on Sunday taking the number of confirmed cases in the county to six.
However, there could be more, but people have stopped being tested and instead have been told to stay home for seven days if showing symptoms.
Nationally, people have been told to isolate themselves as much as possible and been advised against all non-essential trips abroad as the fallout continues.
