REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has joined in the global pouring of good wishes for Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he battles coronavirus.
The Prime Minister spent Monday night in intensive care in a central London hospital after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.
He had been self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19, but was admitted to hospital on Sunday as he was suffering from persistent symptoms.
Redditch MP Rachel Maclean has sent her best wishes to the Prime Minister on behalf of her constituents and said the whole town is willing him to get better soon.
She said: “I’m praying for the Prime Minister. All my thoughts are with him and his family. This disease is indiscriminate. I am so glad he’s in the care of our amazing NHS and I wish him all the strength to fight through this. Everyone in Redditch is behind you Boris!”
Support for Mr Johnson has poured in from world leaders from around the globe, with President Trump and French President Emmanel Macron sending their hopes of a speedy recovery for the Prime Minister.
