PHOTOGRAPHERS across the county have been busy documenting life during lockdown, whilst complying with social distancing guidelines.

Freelance photographers they have been pounding the streets on their daily exercise capturing moments of lockdown life.

Kayleigh Doyle, of Little buds Photography, has been capturing families on their doorsteps in Hereford.

Kayleigh has been capturing portraits of families whilst on her evening walks.

Photographer Caz Holbrook, from Ross-on-Wye, has also been completing a lockdown portrait project.

The Hereford Times has teamed up with Herefordshire Council’s Herefordshire History team for a lockdown history project.

We are seeking photographs showing how the lockdown has life in the county.

Pictures can represent how family life has changed, empty streets normally filled with shoppers, volunteers working in the local community, people creating protective equipment for frontline health workers and the local businesses that have diversified to meet the demands of the current situation.

A panel will sift through all the photos you submit and compile a collection of those they think best capture the spirit and consequences of the lockdown. They will then form the county’s official Herefordshire Life Under Lockdown photographic archive, which will be kept for posterity.

Along the way we will be publishing some of the pictures we receive, and encouraging people to take part using the #LifeUnderLockdownHT hashtag.

Councillor Gemma Davies, Herefordshire Council cabinet member for commissioning, procurement and assets, said: “The lockdown has had a deep impact on all of our lives in one way or another and will be remembered throughout history.

"This project offers the opportunity to provide photographs of Herefordshire that will be used to represent this moment in time and may be viewed by future generations who will look back on how the county contributed towards beating the virus.”
