TRANSPORT Museum Wythall will reopen for families and enthusiasts following almost four months of closure.

Carefully following Government guidelines, the museum has created a new layout and visitor experience, with a one-way route through the two transport halls ensuring that visitors will see all the exhibits during their stay.

Doors to the attraction will reopen on Saturday, August 8.

Numbers on site will be restricted through online booking to ensure that social distancing is maintained, and visits maybe limited to two hours at busy times

The museum will be open on Saturdays and Wednesdays through the rest of August, plus August Bank Holiday Monday.

Visitor numbers will be reviewed on a daily basis and the opening schedule amended as appropriate for September and October.

Bookings are essential to guarantee a place and can be made on the museum website at www.wythall.org.uk/booking.

The schedule will commence at 11.00 with the last booking at 15.30 - the museum will close at 16.30.

Refreshments will be available during the day including tea/coffee and pre-packed snacks but not hot meals.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic lunches with seating areas available.

Museum Trustee Dave Taylor said: ‘We are delighted to welcome visitors to Wythall once again.

“The team has been carefully preparing the ground for several weeks, with strict adherence to Government guidelines ensuring as comfortable an experience as possible in this ‘new normal’.
