MALVERN'S Danielle Hopkins bagged a triple jump silver medal at the 2018 School Games National Finals.
The Chase School pupil, 16, was part of the England Midlands team and competed in the girls' triple jump for only the second time this season.
Having been included as a late replacement, Hopkins jumped a personal best of 11.28 metres to take silver at Loughborough University.
The Worcester Athletic Club prospect said: “I bettered my old personal best with every jump so it was probably the ideal competition.
"I’m a high jumper and multi-eventer normally but I do a bit of everything.
"Most of my training revolves around the multi-events but I just slot in anything else where I can.
"I look up to people like KJT (Katarina Johnson-Thompson) and Jess Ennis as my best event is the high jump.
"The experience here is amazing — I was here last year as well. I love it.”
