MALVERN Vale Firsts kept up their 100 per cent record at the top of Cheltenham League Division Three with a 6-2 win at Dowty Dynamos Reserves.

Keeper Marcin Celmer denied Dowty an early goal before Vale's Tom Stone broke and crossed for Ethan Lambert to head home.

The visitors doubled their advantage when Matt Strangwood squared to leave Mario Vieira with the easiest of finishes.

Ashley Griffiths cut the ball back from the byline for Pep Ienzi to slot home from 12 yards.

A Vale lapse lead to a Dowty goal but on 33 minutes they restored the three-goal cushion when Ash Banner's free-kick curled into the top corner from 25 yards.

Stone hit the woodwork three times in a row but he scored his first goal for Vale 10 minutes after the interval.

Edgar Sanha supplied Nick Jones to make it six before a consolation from Dowty.

Their Minor Cup first-round game was postponed after Prestbury Rovers could not raise a side.

Malvern Vale Reserves secured their first Division Four win of the season by beating Tewkesbury Athletic 7-1 at Victoria Park.

Man of the match Frederick Harrison starred with a hat-trick and was a constant threat.

Vale fell behind on 20 minutes but led 4-1 by half-time thanks to Harrison (2), Nathan Walker and debutant Shane Bosworth.

Joe Turner's pass found its way into the net on 50 minutes before Harrison completed his treble with 15 minutes left.

Vale rounded off the scoring with a seventh through Toby Ireland's curled effort.
