A TEAM of Malvern Joggers and Ledbury Harriers competed in the Devil Mud Run in Cheltenham,

The hilly nine-kilometre course features over 31 obstacles across rugged countryside and through woods.

Suzie Lane, Jim Wheatstone, Jason Protheroe, Deb White, Roger Sherriff, Ian Fuller, Emma Shail, Sarah Clark and Paul Robinson took on the challenge.

Several teams of Joggers took part in the Help For Heroes Malvern Hills Challenge.

A combined adult and junior team did the 11-mile run-walk including Steve and James Massey, Annelle and Yann Bolton and Paula Smy.

Four Joggers did the Upton Bishop Big Dipper 10k on quiet country lanes.

All 60  runners were rewarded with a medal and cake at the finish.

Joggers were led home by Julie Caseley in 56 minutes five seconds followed by Alison Priest (56.42), Chris Barker (1.03.42) and Vivien Tolley (1.04.05).

The club won the women's team prize.

Lynda Broadway and Mike Anstey took on the Rutland Marathon in 5.23 and 2.39 respectively for the full and half event.

Broadway said: "It was a tough race, so tough that Mike was wise enough to downgrade to the half. Unfortunately for me I wasn’t as wise, let’s just say never again."
