ALISON Tuck and John Poulton won the Rose Bowls at The Worcestershire after claiming the summer mixed knockout final.

On a warm autumn day, the duo beat Alex and Andy Dunster 4&2.

The Worcestershire members who represented various teams in 2018 brought along players who had been unavailable for an end-of-season game.

Stealing inspiration from the Ryder Cup format, they played the first six holes as four-ball better-ball, the next six as foursomes and the last six as individual stableford.

The players were drawn from the A team under the captaincy of Steve Carter and the B side led by Jerry Hibbert.

Two teams amassed 51 points for Hibbert's team including the captain and Patrick McIlroy.

The winners on countback were Oliver Kitching and club assistant professional Ryan Corbett.

The best score from the A team came from Carter and new member Stuart Green as their side won overall 586-546.

For the ladies, only two teams returned scores under par with Cath Francis, Cathy Harris and Diane Meakin pipping Liz Pool, Sandra Schofield and Hazel Cartledge to the winning post with 74 points.

The midweek veterans stableford went to John Davison with 39 points.

The first of the winter mixed events, a Florida scramble, was claimed by newcomers Denise and Richard Codrington alongside stalwarts Diane and Paul Meakin with 61.1 nett.
