YOUNGSTERS from Newtown Sports Juniors under 12s were the latest to take advantage of Malvern Town’s junior club matchday experience initiative.
The boys were put through their paces with a warm-up and small-sided game on the pitch before walking out with the players and then performing the role of ball boys for the top-of-the-table clash with Wolverhampton Casuals.
“It was a fantastic day for our boys,” said manager Nick Hayes-Wilson.
“We were all made to feel very welcome by the players, coaching staff and hospitality staff.
“It wasn’t the result that we were looking for in the end but everyone had a great day and it’s fantastic that the club is doing something like this for local youngsters.”
Casuals won the HDanywhere Community Stadium match 2-1.
